Cognitive Behavioral Therapy for Food Cravings

Dr. Arpana Gupta from the UCLA G. Oppenheimer Center for Neurobiology of Stress and Resilience is conducting a study to test the effectiveness of a focused cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) for food cravings.

To be eligible, participants must be OVERWEIGHT OR OBESE and be between the ages of 18-50.

Study participation consists of 4 clinic visits over a period of 8 months with:

  • 16 weeks of self-guided cognitive behavioral therapy with weekly therapist call
  • Four blood draws and stool samples
  • Monthly and weekly online questionnaires
  • Wearing a smartwatch to monitor food cravings (optional)

Study activity will be free of charge and free parking will be provided. Earn up to $500.
